Meet The Typical Gen Zer is a phrasal template derived from a Business Insider headline that reads, "Meet the typical Gen Zer, who is quitting their job, has over $17,000 in student debt, and is influencing nearly everything you buy." As the headline spread on Twitter, users there posted jokes in which they changed the attributes of the "typical Gen Zer" with various parodies.

On November 28th, 2021, Business Insider posted an article about Zoomers and their growing influence in the economic landscape, titled "Meet the typical Gen Zer, who is quitting their job, has over $17,000 in student debt, and is influencing nearly everything you buy."[1] On November 29th, the site tweeted[2] links to the story, resulting in it becoming a trending topic on Twitter that day (shown below).

The typical Gen Zer will still be referred to as a Millennial by all Boomers the second they do something stupid while the typical Millennial is sitting there quickly approaching their 40's saying "Hey can you fuck off already? I'm just trying to make enough money to one day afford a mortgage, stop dragging me into this situation!"
