About
Memefrog, How Did You Get So Based?, also known as It's Been 35 Years Nigga Let It Go ๐๐๐, refers to a two-panel Wojak comic originally shared by Instagram user @memefrog9k in 2022, which shows a Doomer asking Memefrog's Pepe the Frog avatar (seen wearing a camo hat and skull balaclava), "Memefrog, how did you get so based?" The bottom panel shows a young Memefrog in 1987 getting bullied by Black guy Wojaks who tell him, "Ayo, gibs me your lunch money whytboi!" and, "You read books? Dats stupid. You stupid." The Memefrog Wojak comic went viral months later when someone screenshotted it and added a top caption reading, "It's been 35 years nigga let it go ๐๐๐." The comic was mocked going into the mid-2020s and used as an example of racist right-wingers being cringe. Discourse and memes about it largely surfaced on Twitter / X.
