"Moka Chan Oshiete Kureta Irona Mita" refers to a viral TikTok video in which the character Cinnamoroll speaks in Japanese about using a filter recommended by one of their friends. The video was originally posted in July 2023 but resurfaced in early December 2023 when a video of a Horse Speaking Japanese went viral on the platform using the character's audio. The sound also became a popular copypasta text in which people would translate the audio into random videos, most often being cat and other animal content.

Origin

On July 3rd, 2023, TikTok^[1] user @47mon_sanrio uploaded an animated video (shown below) of Cinnamoroll, a Japanese character who is a white puppy with chubby cheeks and long ears, playing with their smartphone social media filters. At the start of the video, the character is looking at a smartphone and saying the line "Moka Chan Oshiete Kureta Irona Mita"The video amassed over 2.6 million plays and 421,000 likes in six months.

On December 6th, 2023, TikTok^[2] user @kli.ilk uploaded the video of a horse being interviewed (shown below, left), using @47mon_sanrio's Cinnamoroll audio in which the character says "Moka Chan Oshiete Kureta Irona Mita" as if its the horse is speaking in Japanese. The video garnered more than 29 million plays and 5 million likes in a week. On December 12ht, 2023, TikTok^[3] user @ahaha.its.april posted a parody drawing of the horse video (shown below, right) as if it were a My Little Pony character. The post received roughly 11,700 plays and 275 likes in three days.
