About
Mr. Torture, Rape Shirt Kid, Pigman refers to a series of edgy memes about three fictional characters: a man in a balaklava with red lips named Mr. Torture, based on the real-life criminal Mr. Cruel, a boy named Rape Shirt Kid, who is the unedited image of Mr. Torture, and an overweight man who dresses like a pig named Pigman. The image of Mr. Torture was first posted online as early as February 2026, and the memes were popularized on X / Twitter throughout May 2026, leading into June.
As a meme, the characters are often associated with one another and painted as either rivals or friends. Some memes include edits that place them with prominent streamers and content creators, and posts that expand on their lore, with Rape Shirt Kid eventually tragically dying after having a falling out with Mr. Torture. Typically, the three are depicted as streamers. The memes were largely popularized by X users @BronyJugend and @MandrakeCalvin2.
Origin
On February 3rd, 2026, X[1] user @BronyJugend posted an image of a person in a black balaklava with the name "Mr. Torture" embroidered on the forehead and bright red lips over the mouth, writing, "This is Mr. Torture speaking," gaining about 20 likes in four months. This is the earliest known user to post the Mr. Torture image, although it is unconfirmed if this is a repost.
The Mr. Torture costume is based on a real-life, Australian serial child r--ist named Mr. Cruel, who wore a similar mask.[2] Purportedly, the image of Mr. Torture is an edit of an image of a young man with ties to white supremacist content online who wears a shirt with the word "rape" on it. The identity of the man is unconfirmed.
