About

Nick Fuentes (full name Nicholas Joseph Fuentes) is an American far-right political commentator well known for his controversial views on Christian nationalism, white supremacy, involuntary celibacy, antisemitism, Islamophobia and women's rights, with many labeling him alt-right. His supporters are known as Groypers, named after a more round and toad-like variation of the Pepe meme. Fuentes first rose to prominence for hosting his talk show, America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes, starting in 2017, and for inciting the so-called "Groyper War" against the late conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk and his Turning Point USA organization in 2019 for being receptive to immigrants and LGBTQ+ Americans.

In 2022, Nick Fuentes appeared on Alex Jones's show InfoWars with controversial rapper Kanye West, a month after the two were reportedly invited to dinner at Mar-a-Lago by U.S. President Donald Trump. In the early to mid-2020s, Nick Fuentes was involved in several notable events and memes, including the coining of the incendiary phrase Your Body My Choice after the overturning of Roe vs Wade. Fuentes was doxxed as a result of his statements, and was also recorded on police bodycam footage describing himself as Mexican.

History

Nick Fuentes was born on August 18th, 1998, and grew up in La Grange Park, Illinois. According to Fuentes,[7] he is of Italian, Irish and Mexican descent. After high school, he studied international relations/politics for one year at Boston University, but dropped out in 2017 following backlash over his attendance at the Unite the Right Rally in Charlottesville, as reported by Associated Press[9] in 2017.

In 2017, during his freshman year, Fuentes launched his episodic livestream talk show America First with Nicholas J. Fuentes. The show featured his commentary via irony and jokes aimed at a Gen Z audience, and featured his controversial views on race, gender and political rights, which he often delivered under the cover of irony or dark humour, as reported by NPR[8] in 2021.

Groypers

Groypers refers to a group of far-right and alt-right nationalists and conservatives led by Nicholas J. Fuentes. The group is critical of mainstream conservative groups for not being more extreme in their views about white supremacy, homosexuality and women's rights.

Those targeted, mocked and/or trolled by the group include conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, U.S. Representative Dan Crenshaw, Trump Jr. and Kirk's American conservative nonprofit organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA).

On October 29th, 2019, a Turning Point USA event at the Ohio State University was sabotaged by several attendees who asked Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk provocative, anti-Israel, racist and homophobic questions, including a question referencing Dancing Israelis.

A YouTube[1] video titled "Charlie Kirk vs Groypers compilation" was posted on October 30th, 2019, gathering over 300,000 views in six years.

On October 30th, 2019, Twitter[2] user @EdwardBChang made the first tweet referring to this and previous actions taken by Groypers against TPUSA as "Groyper War," with the tweet receiving over 60 retweets and 460 likes.

In the following days, more Twitter accounts associated with the movement made tweets referring to Groyper Army's actions against TSUPA as "Groyper War," including tweets by the movement's leader, Fuentes.[3]

Nick Fuentes and Kanye West

On November 26th, 2022, rapper Kanye West and Nick Fuentes met U.S. President Donald Trump for dinner at Mar-a-Lago,[6] with the X account @YeFandom posting a video that day, which shows the duo en route at the airport.

On December 1st, 2022, Kanye West then made an appearance on an episode of the InfoWars podcast hosted by Alex Jones alongside Nick Fuentes, where he repeatedly made disparaging remarks about Jewish people, expressed his overt support for Nazi Germany leader Adolf Hitler when he said, "I see good things about Hitler" and "I like Hitler."

Several internet users posted tweets about Kanye West outpacing Nick Fuentes in his bigotry, including X user @halomancer1, who posted a Woody Holding Sora Back meme that gathered over 10,000 likes in a day.

Your Body, My Choice

Your Body, My Choice is a catchphrase popularized by far-right political commentator and groyper Nicholas J. Fuentes in the aftermath of Donald Trump winning the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

The phrase, which saw previous usage on 4chan, is a play on the popular abortion rights slogan, "My body, my choice." An audio clip of Nick Fuentes saying, "Your body, my choice," became a viral sound on TikTok in early November 2024 with women using it to express their concerns about women's rights under a Trump presidency. A tweet of him proclaiming the same statement also began making the rounds on Twitter during the same timeframe.

Nick Fuentes Doxxing

Nick Fuentes Doxxing refers to the doxxing of far-right political commentator and groyper Nicholas J. Fuentes, which followed his posting of the controversial phrase, "Your body, my choice," in the aftermath of Donald Trump winning the 2024 United States Presidential Election in early November 2024.

On November 10th, 2024, Facebook[4] user Marla Rose, a 57-year-old Illinois resident, wrote that on that day she took a trip to Fuentes' house and shot a video of the house from the sidewalk. According to the post, Rose then proceeded to ring the doorbell, with Fuentes swinging open the door, using pepper spray or mace on her and pushing her down the stairs onto the sidewalk. Fuentes then allegedly proceeded to take Rose's phone and walk back inside the house, locking the door (post shown below).

Marla Rose 14 hours ago Okay, so what would you do if a neo-Naz*, white supremacist who called on a holy war against J*ws and is a loud, proud misogynist lives in your town, you are a Jewish feminist and you know his address? Further, what would you do if friend after friend messaged you with his address and told you that you should pop over since you live in the same town and report what it looks like from outside his home at Are there boxes potentially possessing dog poo? Are there boxes potentially possessing used menstrual products? What would you do if it's a Sunday and you've done your work for the day? Pop over there, you would. You're a good friend, you're curious as well. So that is what I did. I shot a short video, less than two minutes, from the public property of the sidewalk outside this address, noting that there were no boxes. As I did, a woman pulled up in her car, rolled down her window and was like, "Is this where the douchebag lives?" (Paraphrasing.) And I was like, "I think so!" and we laughed about his incel ass for a minute. Then she was like, "You should ring his doorbell and see what he has to say for himself." (Again, paraphrasing.) And I have one serious weakness. It's chocolate. Okay, I have two, one more relevant for this situation. I cannot back down from anything that even smacks of a dare. So I figured (). There were no "no solicitors" signs up and, believe it or not, I would have respected that. So I rang the doorbell, he immediately swung the door open like he was at damn Waco, sprayed me with a burning liquid (Pepper spray? Mace?) and pushed me down the stairs onto his sidewalk. I rolled into a protective position because I was anticipating kicks or stomps, he grabbed my phone, ran back inside, bolted the door and shut the blinds. Friends, it is dark in there, like a bunker. I have video. I am holding onto that for evidence.

In the post, Rose shared several photographs of the purported incident, including images of Fuentes pointing an object at the camera and an image of Fuentes taken from the phone lying on the ground (shown below, top and bottom).

"Mexican" Nick Fuentes Body Cam Footage

Mexican Nick Fuentes Body Cam Footage refers to a viral video of leaked police body cam footage showing right-wing political commentator Nick Fuentes saying, "I'm Mexican," to deny that he's a white supremacist. The recording was taken after Fuentes pepper-sprayed someone who came to his Illinois home when he was doxxed in November 2024.

Fuentes faced a misdemeanor battery charge for the incident. On December 18th, 2024, YouTuber[5] The CrimePiece uploaded the body cam footage where, at one point, the police officer asks Fuentes if he's a white supremacist, to which he replies, "I'm Mexican." In a day, the video received over 19,000 views.
