My Fault OG refers to a viral skit by TikToker and comedian @girlhefunny0x in which a high school student approaches another student and accuses him of having sex with his father, to which the accused says, "my fault, OG." The video went viral through numerous reposts on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, resulting in numerous memes, primarily video edits, referencing it.

Origin

Sometime prior to February 3rd, 2021, TikToker[2] @girlhefunny0x ( @girlhefunny1x on Instagram)[3] posted a skit in which one high school student (recording) approaches another student and asks him why people are saying he "fucked his father." The accused student says, "You Lil' Rodney' son?" the accuser replies with "yes," and the accused says, "You talking about Rodney with the fat-ass butt?" The accuser then grabs him by the collar and he says, "my fault, OG," trying to apologize. The accuser then shakes him up, says he's going to get "Lil' Travis" on his ass and leaves. The original upload has since been removed, with the earliest available upload by YouTuber[1] BUUKIKI on February 3rd, garnering over 15,700 views in two months (shown below).

The video was re-uploaded across social media platforms a number of times that month, with many uploads gaining significant attention. For example, on February 6th, YouTuber[4] sully posted the video, garnering over 344,000 views in two months. Instagram[11] user @thegloreality posted a version of the video without the TikTok overlay that day, garnering over 20,000 views in two months.

On the same day, TikToker[5] @pay4low posted the video, garnering over 2.5 million views (shown below). On February 7th, TikToker[6] @omw2fy8 posted the video, gaining over 500,000 views in a comparable span of time.

The original sound for @pay4low's reupload became considerably popular on TikTok[7][8] over the course of the next month following the video's virality, inspiring over 9,200 videos by April 2021 (popular examples shown below, left and right).

On February 14th, Instagram[9][10] user @biigwes_ posted a compilation of videos to his page, including "My Fault OG" in the mix, garnering over 20,000 likes in two months. On the same day, YouTuber[10] Wandsum posted an edit of the video adding thought captions to the video, garnering over 73,000 views in two months (shown below).



On February 21st, @biigwes_ posted an image macro referencing the video, garnering over 23,800 likes in two months (shown below).

On February 26th, YouTuber[12] AlmightyYoSenpai posted a sequel to the original video that appears to be from the @girlhefunn1x Instagram page in which Lil' Rodney's son rolls up on the kid accused of having sex with OG's father (shown below, left). The original post has been removed. On February 28th, YouTuber[14] harve posted a video showing off an Osu! beatmap they made for the game, including a link[15] to the map as well, garnering over 417,000 views in just under two months (shown below, right).



On March 4th, YouTuber[13] June Plug uploaded a video of YouTuber and streamer YourRage reacting to the video, garnering over 170,000 views in a month (shown below).
