Never Been With A Baddie is the opening lyric used in many TikTok videos that utilize the 2021 song "Own Brand Freestyle" by the musician FelixThe1st. On TikTok, the song is used in several different ways, with a short dance routine being the most prevalent and transformational videos being a secondary type. The dance trend consists of many various hand movements and steps, at one point rubbing one's stomach.

Origin

On October 29th, 2021, musician FelixThe1st[1] first uploaded the song[2] to his YouTube channel, where it gained over 9.6 million views in five months before the TikTok trend (shown below).



On November 10th, 2021, the official TikTok channel for FelixThe1st uploaded a video[3] using the frequently used audio snippet and showcasing the dance steps that go with it, earning 34,000 likes in three months (shown below).

The audio sample was quickly adopted by others on TikTok, accumulating over 6.3 million videos using the sample in three months[4] and receiving notable attention from high-profile creators on the platform. For example, on November 24th, 2021, K-Pop singer Yeonjun, a member of Tomorrow x Together, uploaded a TikTok[5] of himself doing the dance moves, acquiring 11.4 million views in three months (shown below).
