Not Your Normal Kids Show is a creepypasta series comprised of viral TikTok videos by the creator BeeVeeKee, which feature a clown character named Dottie and another called Tall Man. While appearing to have the look of an older children's show, the surroundings and main character warn that it is not meant for children, with frequent glitching and other types of scary effects used during the episodes.

Origin

On May 22nd, 2023, the TikTok creator BeeVeeKee^[1] uploaded the first episode of the series, in which they warn kids to not watch it during the intro. The episode continued to show the Tall Man handing a ringing phone to the main character Dottie, with the voice on the other end changing the tone of the video by declaring that the curtains weren't closed, causing Dottie to change her expression and whisper to the audience to never open the door for strangers. This TikTok would quickly gain over 1.4 million likes in three months and spawn a continuation of the series (shown below).

The following day, May 23rd, 2023, an update^[2] to the series was uploaded to add continuity to the first episode, showing that the series takes place within a phone and that the viewer on the other side was visited and abducted by the Tall Man. This would mark the last installment for a month, with many commenters and reactions to the first two episodes leaning heavily on the common creepypasta trope of being visited by something within a cursed object and trying to uncover secrets within the videos (shown below).

On June 14th, a third installment was finally uploaded^[3] that further pushed the scary nature of the videos by having an entity demand that the light be turned off, an alien body for a clock showing that the time was 8 p.m. and a malevolent smiling sun.

The video ends with Dottie warning the viewer to not have their legs out of the covers of their bed past 11 p.m. Viewers were quick to note the sun as a direct opposite to the Teletubbies smiling baby sun, as well as picking up on different parts of the video for lore (shown below).

On August 7th, 2023, YouTuber Matpat uploaded an episode on his GTLive^[4] channel going over the videos and trying to look for lore and theories as to what could be happening in the currently released batch, as well as implying what could be coming in future releases, earning over 180,000 views in one day (shown below).
