Origin
Pearl Necklace is a slang term for a sexual act in which a man ejaculates semen on or near the neck or chest of another person. The term comes from the semen's resemblance to a necklace of translucent white pearls. Though the expression predates the Internet, memes about the sexual act have been shared since 2015 and most recently (2021-2023) people on TikTok have been using the slang for Don't Google content, sharing their astonishment when they realize what pearl necklace mean.

On March 1st, 2003, tit obsessed wankophile Urban Dictionary[1] user submitted a definition (shown below) for "pearl necklace" reading as the act of when "you blow your nuts out all over a girl's tits, shoulders, neck, and, with any luck, chin. one of the highest expressions of love and affection bestowable upon a woman by a man." Several other definitions for "pearl necklace" appeared in the same year, describing the same act of ejaculating in a person's neck area.
Spread
Mentions about the sexual act started to appear in comedic strips and image macros in early 2015. For instance, on September 4th, 2015, Memedroid[2] user @nightshade94 posted a mother-and-daughter comic strip interaction in which the pearl necklace slang is mentioned (shown below, left), amassing more than 1500 reactions in nine years. On March 24th, 2017, Flickr[3] user @squeakpossum posted the image of a woman smiling paired with the macro "I'm so excited! He said he's going to get me a facial and a pearl necklace." The post (shown below, right) received roughly 251 views in seven years.
On July 30th, 2022, Jeweler and sculptor Amanda Booth posted a video on TikTok[4] in which she made a real pearl necklace with semen inside the pearls, calling it "Jezzy Jewelry." The video (shown below, left) amassed over 3 million plays and 600,000 likes in two years. On August 21st, 2023, TikTok[5] user @coko_cookie posted a Don't Google video sharing her surprise after reading about the real meaning of the "pearl necklace" slang. The post (shown below, right) received more than 223,000 plays and 342 likes in almost a year.
