Pencil Water Bag Challenge is a series of trending TikTok videos featuring a science demonstration in which a person stabs pencils through a bag filled with water theoretical keeping the water in the bag.

Origin

On April 9th, 2012, the Steve Spangler Science[1] website describes the water experiment that demonstrates the nature of polymers. On May 2nd, 2011, SuniiTV uploaded the song "Android Porn" by Kraddy that is featured in the Pencil Water Bag Challenge TikTok videos (shown below). The video has gained 11 million views in eight years. The sound clip of "Android Porn" was uploaded to TikTok by @hiteshtandel17617 and used in over 222,000 videos as of March 2019.

Spread

On February 26th, Maverick Baker uploaded the first Pencil Water Bag Challenge video (shown below, left). The video has gained 2.8 million likes in a month. That same day, @matt_mckinney uploaded another demonstration of the challenge that garnered 290,000 likes in a month (shown below, right).
