According to TMZ,^[4] Kanye West and Bianca Censori were seen dining together at a hotel in Beverly Hills on January 9th, 2023, their first known public appearance. In late January 2024, it was rumored that the two had gotten married, though no certificate was presented until October 2023, confirming a confidential marriage had taken place, according to Daily Mail.^[6] The certificate listed their actual date of marriage as December 20th, 2022, roughly one month after West’s divorce from Kim Kardashian.

Clothing Controversies

Bianca Censori is known online for particularly odd clothing choices, inspiring online ridicule. On June 5th, 2023, the Daily Mail’s official TikTok^[1] account posted a video recapping an “eccentric” outfit that first gained attention and internet ridicule in late May 2023. The video (below right) gained approximately 1.1 million views and 12,500 likes in eight months. On January 24th, 2024, a video of West and Censori again gained virality, showing Censori wearing a large fur coat and fur hat concealing her entire body. One early instance of the video’s appearance online was posted to TikTok^[2] by @splashnewsofficial on January 24th, 2024, earning 6.9 million views and 84,000 likes in just over two weeks (below, left).

Many of Censori's unusual outfits also seem to be coordinated with Kanye West, including her notable "raincoat" outfit. On February 6th, 2024, Censori was seen wearing a particularly contentious outfit, a see-through poncho-style raincoat, while accompanied by Kanye, who had his face covered by a mask and wore a similar opaque coat. One notable response to the incident was a February 7th Twitter / X^[10] post by @TaraBull808, which received 1,300 likes and inspired over 1,200 comments in two days (seen below).

The Sun^[9] reported that Censori’s parents responded to the outfit by being “mortified,” and claimed they no longer recognize her, and internet users shared similar concerns about Censori's safety and well-being. For instance, X^[11] user @TMcD1986 responded to the image with concern for Censori and accusing West and the media of humiliating her. The February 7th post received 106 likes in two days (seen below).

Online Presence

Though Censori once had an Instagram account, she now maintains little social media presence, aside from a LinkedIn page that lists her as the Head of Architecture at Yeezy. On January 29th, 2023, Yahoo^[5] and other news outlets reported that West had supposedly banned Censori from using social media, due to a fear of negative online comments.
