Online History
"Legs Go All The Way Up" Chloe Grace Moretz Meme
Starting around the year 2015, 4Chan and Reddit users began circulating slightly photoshopped images of Chloë Grace Moretz in order to exaggerate the length of her legs and shorten her torso. A popular image in circulation at the time was a picture of Chloe holding a box of pizza, clicked by the paparazzi in May 2016 (seen below).
The image was soon likened to a character named "Legs Go All The Way Up Griffin" from the TV show Family Guy, and edited to exaggerate the actress's proportion.
In a 2022 interview with Hunger TV, Moretz talked about the negative impacts the memes about her body had on her, to the point where she had to undergo therapy to cope.[2]
"Is This The Hole You're Referring To?" Khloe Kardashian NSFW Tweet
On July 18th, 2016, Chloë chimed in on the Taylor Swift-Kanye West "Famous" conflict, asserting that "everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole," and that people need to realize what's happening in the "REAL world." The tweet gathered over 60,000 likes in nearly six years (seen below).[1]
Khloe Kardashian responded to Chloë with a now-deleted tweet that read, "Is this the hole you are referring to?" The tweet received over 65,000 likes before being removed (seen below). Chloe disputed the identity of the person in Khloe's post, posting images from her movie set that showed her wearing a different swimsuit.
