Overview
Dangoheart Animation is an animator on YouTube and Twitter known best for his animations referencing video games and meme culture, including franchises like Pokemon, Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda and Minecraft. Dangoheart began their online career by posting webcomics and memes to Reddit as early as 2019. He posted his first animation to YouTube in April 2021, gaining over 2.2 million subscribers by 2023.
History
Dangoheart Animation began posting original content to Reddit under the username u/M4Dheart[19] in 2019. His first meme was posted to /r/UltraInstinctShaggy[1] on January 23rd, 2019, garnering over 300 upvotes in four years. On December 2nd, 2020, he posted an original webcomic to /r/wholesomememes,[2] garnering over 5,100 upvotes in just over two years (shown below, left). He posted several more comics in the same style to various subreddits[3][4][5] over the following days (example shown below, right).
On April 2nd, 2021, Dangoheart Animation posted his first animation to YouTube,[6] titled, "Work in Pairs (a Link & Zelda animation)," garnering over 1.2 million views in two years (shown below). He posted his first tweet to his Twitter[7] account, @DangoheartAni, on May 6th of that year.
Dangoheart found particular success through his Minecraft-themed animations. On May 14th and June 1st, 2021, Dangoheart posted two Minecraft animations to YouTube,[8][9] garnering over 41 million views and 28 million views respectively in two years (shown below, left and right). On June 3rd, he uploaded an animation to YouTube[10] featuring Samsung Sam that garnered over 4 million views in the same span of time.
Dangoheart has also found significant success with animations referencing memes. For example, on April 24th, 2022, Dangoheart posted an animation based on the tall lady shopping meme to YouTube,[11] garnering over 11 million views in a year (shown below, left). On February 23rd, 2023, he posted an animation based on the Vaporeon copypasta to YouTube,[12] garnering over 2.1 million views in two months (shown below, right).
On March 11th, 2023, Dangoheart posted a Bowsette animation to Twitter[13] that gained over 212,000 likes and 26,000 retweets in a month, also posting it to YouTube,[14] where it gained over 3.6 million views in the same span of time (shown below).
