Fryboy (@fryboydb) is a TikToker known for his black-and-white clown makeup and ground sliding maneuver, which earned him the nickname the SoCal Slider. Fryboy's real name is Carter. He gained numerous fans in October 2022 after a spree of Halloween themed videos that took place in Hershey Park, Pennsylvania. Fryboy is a member of the park's "Decayed Brigade," which is a staff of seasonal employees that do freeform performances in costume throughout the park. Fryboy's face reveal in late October 2022 also gained virality as his female fans engaged in hornyposting, fan edits and fancams.

Online History

Few personal details are known about TikToker Fryboy. He originally went viral on the platform in late September 2022 and caused a stir as other TikTokers found him attractive within a series of TikToks made at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania before Halloween 2022. According to his first video,^[1] Fryboy works at Hershey Park as a part of its seasonal Halloween staff called the "Decayed Brigade."

His first TikTok^[1] was uploaded on September 20th, 2022, which was a highlight reel of his sliding maneuvers. Over the course of one month, the video received roughly 3.1 million plays and 363,200 likes (shown below, left). On September 25th, he gained more virality for a TikTok^[2] that showcased his sliding in action, earning roughly 14.4 million plays and 3 million likes in one month (shown below, right).

Fryboy gained virality going into October 2022 as he rapidly accumulated followers and likes. This translated into his followers visiting him in real life. For instance, on October 21st, 2022, TikToker^[3] annelle.mclain posted a video that showed Fryboy performing live at Hershey Park and even her meeting Fryboy at the end of the clip. Over the course of 11 days, the TikTok received roughly 2.5 million plays and 524,400 likes (shown below, left). On October 25th, Fryboy uploaded his most-viewed TikTok^[4] thus far, gaining roughly 22.6 million plays and 4.9 million likes in eight days (shown below, right).

Fryboy Fan Edits and Fancams

Thereafter, fan edits and fancams emerged using Fryboy's videos. For instance, on October 25th, 2022, TikToker^[5] aemklson posted a fan edit that received roughly 1.3 million plays and 419,100 likes in one week (shown below, left). Another viral fan edit was uploaded on October 27th by TikToker^[6] benedict.aep, gaining roughly 3.6 million plays and 730,400 likes in five days (shown below, right).

Fryboy Face Reveal

On October 26th, 2022, TikToker^[7] apes.fx posted a video that was an edit of a Zoom call they'd had with Fryboy, which revealed his face without makeup. Over the course of six days, the TikTok received roughly 470,400 plays and 79,000 likes (shown below, left). Later on October 26th, TikToker^[8] apes.fx posted another fan edit of the Zoom call, gaining roughly 2.2 million plays and 246,500 likes in six days (shown below, right).

In the comment sections of both aforementioned videos, TikTokers levied their reactions to Fryboy's face. Many of them compared it to Dream's Face Reveal, as in, Fryboy's face was more attractive than Dream's. For instance, one comment from TikToker tkaysha stated, "dream got nothing on this man," earning over 7,000 likes in six days.

In the weeks that followed his face reveal, TikTokers unearthed more photos of Fryboy's face from the Decayed Brigade's official Instagram^[9] page. One group photo uploaded on July 30th, 2022, in particular, earned notable engagement. For instance, on October 31st, 2022, TikToker^[10] dyweew2br5 posted a video that zoomed in on Fryboy's face in the group photo, gaining roughly 459,700 plays and 36,700 likes in one day (shown below).
