Hornyposting

Hornyposting is a slang word used to describe an action of posting content, be it textual or visual, that is indicative of the poster's unsatisfied sexual desire, usually for the subject of the post. The word is used to ridicule, shame or otherwise comment on the poster's actions.
Origin
The exact origin of the word "hornyposting" is unknown, but is estimated to be prior to May 2017. Some of the earliest examples of the word being used on Twitter[1] have been traced to May 2017 (example shown below, left). The word started gaining more notable presence on Twitter[2][3][4] during Autumn 2017, with multiple users using it to describe the action of posting content indicative of one being horny (example shown below, right).
Spread
In 2018, the slang word continued moderate spread online, primarily on Twitter.[5][6] On January 18th, 2019, Tumblr[4] user Luxwing posted the earliest viral meme referencing the slang term, with the post gaining over 62,900 likes and reblogs in one year (shown below).
On October 6th, 2019, Urban Dictionary[7] user madisonyoom added the definition for the slang word, defining it as, "When someone (usually on some sort of message board) posts about what is making them horny."
Starting in 2019 and more notably in 2020, hornyposting as a practice has been a subject of memes on Twitter, iFunny, Reddit and other online platforms. For example, on December 27th, 2019, Facebook[8] page Depressed EMO dad: the Riencarnation posted a meme that received over 350 likes and 1,300 shares in six months (shown below, left). On June 11th, 2020, iFunny[9] user CaptainWumbo posted a GIF caption that received over 80 smiles in one week (shown below, right).
Notable subjects of hornyposting between 2017 and 2021 include video game character Isabelle, cartoon pseudocharacter Officer Jaffe, politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, conservative influencer Abigail Shapiro, North Korean politician Kim Yo-jong, tomboys, multiple Pokémon, Lady Dimitrescu, Samsung Sam and many other people and fictional characters.

Horny on Main
Horny On Main is a slang term for the practice of posting and engaging with sexually charged posts on one's main account on a social media site instead of doing so from a secondary account created for that purpose. It's particularly popular as a meme on Tumblr, and developed from descriptive slang to a meme following Ted Cruz "Liking" a Pornographic Tweet and the supposed outing of Constable Frozen as a vore enthusiast.
Go to Horny Jail
Go to Horny Jail is a slang phrase associated with an image macro of a Doge hitting Cheems with a stick. The image and phrase has been used as a reaction to people being horny on main on social media.
Booba
Booba refers to a series of reaction images, textual reactions and fan art and other memes revolving around the word "booba," a mistype of "boobs," and images of various characters cartoonishly popping their eyes in desire. Closely associated with Awooga! and Hornyposting and originating from a 4chan post, the meme gained popularity in late September 2020 following a viral tweet.
