About

Lil Lunchbox is a vlogger who gained much notoriety online for posting videos about identifying as a clown and stalking her ex-husband. Online, fans of Lil Lunchbox are referred to as "lunchables," while detractors are referred to as "claters."

History

On March 23rd, 2017, the first video was uploaded to the Lil Lunchbox YouTube[1] channel, featuring a parody remix of the show Lost titled "jack needs some milk" (shown below, left)



On September 28th, 2018, the Lil Lunchbox Facebook[2] page was launched. That day, a video was uploaded to the channel in which she slowly reveals her face while wearing clown makeup titled "I miss my husband πŸ˜•" (shown below).



On October 6th, 2018, Lil Lunchbox uploaded a video of herself waiting outside her ex-husband's work in his car while wearing clown makeup (shown below). Within six months, the video accumulated upwards of 2.4 million views, 12,500 shares, 12,000 comments and 10,000 reacts (shown below).



Clown Pepe / Honk Honk

On April 5th, 2019, Lil Lunchbox uploaded a video about the Clown Pepe meme, saying she would be taking the meme back from those making it "a symbol for racism" (shown below). Over the next 72 hours, the video accumulated more than 65,000 views, 970 reacts and 490 shares.



Two days later, the @HonkHonkler Twitter feed reposted the video with the message "LMFAO What did I just find on Facebook? 🀑🌎🀑🌎" (shown below). Within 24 hours, the video accumulated upwards of 98,000 views, 2,000 likes and 750 retweets.




On April 8th, the HONK Facebook page posted an edit of Clown Pepe with a shaved head, along with the message "Lil lunchbox here I made this for you, now fuck off and leave honkler alone" (shown below).


That day, actor James Woods tweeted[3] a picture of the Christchurch shooting suspect photoshopped with Clown Pepe makeup in front of Lil Lunchbox with the caption "War! #ClownLady" (shown below, left). Shortly after, journalist Jon Levine posted a tweet[4] noting that the photoshopped image was based on the shooting suspect. Also on April 8th, Woods posted several tweets praising Lil Lunchbox (shown below, right).
