About

Raw Meat Experiment refers to an Instagram user who has dedicated himself to eating raw meat outside of Whole Foods every day until he dies. The page aims to prove that eating raw meat is healthy and that cooking meat is unnecessary and a hoax. He started posting his content of raw-meat-eating videos and raw-meat-related memes in late 2021 on YouTube first. He quickly grew a following on Instagram predominantly.

Online History

Although he grew his largest following on Instagram, the creator behind Raw Meat Experiment first posted content to YouTube. He uploaded his first YouTube[1] video on November 12th, 2021 (shown below), where he explains in it the reasoning behind his new diet. He says that he's never eaten raw meat before and is actually afraid of it. He also mentioned in the video that he's going to eat it every day outside of Whole Foods just to freak people out. Over the course of one month, the video's received 774 views.

He started posting content to Instagram about a week later. His first Instagram[2] post was made on November 22nd, 2021, and is a Reel of him eating a raw steak (shown below). The Reel received 129 likes after being posted.

For every day after, the Instagrammer continued to post Reels of himself eating raw meat outside Whole Foods. On December 2nd, 2021, he posted his first raw-meat-related image macro meme to Instagram,[3] using the For the Better, Right? meme format. The meme (shown below) received 253 likes over the course of twenty days.

The Reel (shown below) received 607 likes over twenty days.

@rawmeatexperiment's content started being reposted to other Instagram pages towards the end of December 2021. I have eaten raw meat before, and I have to say it wasn't that bad. Definitely could see how stone age humans could be eating before they invented fire.

That being said it's probably not the most sanitary thing, and thus probably shouldn't be done.
