Sameko Saba is an independent vTuber who debuted in June of 2025. She is a fish girl with catlike ears and a shark tail, and her outfit is a sailor suit-styled dress.
History
On May 4th, 2025, the YouTube channel SamekoSaba was created.[1] On May 18th, 2025, a teaser animation (shown below) was posted which only shows a fish with the background audio singing the word "Saba". The video received over 2.2 million views in over one month.
The Twitter / X account samekosaba was created in January 2025, and made its first post on May 19th, 2025.[2] On June 1st, another teaser animation (shown below) was posted on Twitter / X, which revealed the full name "Sameko Saba".[3]

On June 15th, 2025, yet another teaser animation (shown below) was posted to Twitter / X, which gave a first glimpse of Sameko Saba's appearance.[4]

On June 22nd, another animation was posted to Twitter / X, which revealed more of Saba's appearance, as well as gave a debut date on YouTube of June 28th, 2025. [5]

On June 28th, 2025, Sameko Saba officially debuted on YouTube in a livestream (shown below), which received over 1.2 million views in one day.[6]
