Peppa, What Are You Doing In my Chocolate? is a viral TikTok video from early July 2019 in which a user bites into a chocolate egg and finds a small Peppa Pig figurine inside. When the user discovers Peppa, they ask, "Peppa, what are you doing in my chocolate?" using an exaggerated provocative tone. Following Peppa Pig's My First Album release and Peppa Pig's Height Controversy in late 2019, TikTok users began recreating the original viral video.

Origin

On July 1st, 2019, TikTok user @beasinthetrap uploaded a video in which they eat a Peppa Finders Keepers Chocolate Surprise[1] (shown below). The video gained over 871,000 likes and 240,500 shares in a month.

Spread

In mid-July, Peppa Pig began trending on Twitter due to the cartoon character's album release as well as her speculated height. In late July, TikTok users began recreating the original @beasinthetrap video. On July 22nd, @justinfukoo created a parodied version in which he finds Peppa in his car (shown below, left). The video gained over 48,500 likes in a week. On July 23rd, @ninabogo uploaded a TikTok video in which she finds Peppa in her glasses case (shown below, center). The video garnered over 1.1 million likes in six days. On July 24th, @kitchenqueen420 uploaded a Minecraft version which accumulated over 13,400 likes in five days (shown below, right).
