The trend became especially prevalent among nurses and other healthcare professionals in scrubs. The trend also includes ironic edits and general mockery and discourse surrounding Phibz across the platform.

Origin

Sometime in early to mid-March 2026, TikTok creator Phibz (@phibzizgay) posted a video in response to a comment complimenting her eyeliner. In the video reply, she did a dance inspired by Junko Posing, a trend derived from the Danganronpa video game series, inspired by the animated movements of the game's character of the same name.

Viewership and engagement metrics are unavailable, as Phibz made her account private sometime after several of her TikToks went viral in March 2026.

A reupload of the video, uploaded by TikTok user^[1] @breecr3e, posted on March 15th, 2026, received about 3 million views and 98,000 likes in less than two weeks.

The videos of Phibz quickly spread across the platform in mid-to-late March 2026, with many TikTok users, particularly nurses and others who wear scrubs to work, joining in by recreating the Phibz "emote," a reference to character animations and emotes in games like Fortnite.

On March 11th, 2026, TikTok^[2] user @sreyumm posted a video of themselves doing the emote in scrubs, starting a new trend. The video received about 8.5 million views and 1.3 million likes in just over two weeks.

On March 14th, 2026, TikTok^[3] user @theoisfound posted a similar video, which received about 1.3 million views and 195,800 likes in less than two weeks.

Also on March 14th, 2026, TikTok^[4] user @notkngumemorialaccount posted another video doing the Phibz emote in scrubs, solidifying the trend further. The video received about 1.2 million views and 165,800 likes in less than two weeks.

A reupload from the now-private Phibz account began spreading through the platform in mid-March 2026 as Phibz memes continued growing on TikTok.

On March 20th, 2026, TikTok^[10] user @bobablaster67 posted a video doing a different "Phibz emote." The video received about 2.7 million views and 508,400 likes in less than a week.

On March 22nd, 2026, TikTok^[11] user @pretteyinplink posted a video. The video received about 3.1 million views and 371,800 likes in just four days.
