Pig Embryo memes refer to an image macro of a pig embryo that became an exploitable in early 2022 due to a comment thread between two Facebook users, wherein one said, "Do you consider this a human being?" only to later reveal, "It's a pig embryo." The screenshot was shared to multiple platforms in 2022 and was exploited on Reddit. The trend was related to discourse about the Leaked Roe v. Wade Supreme Court Document.
Origin
On September 6th, 2021, Facebook[1] user NateTalksToYou posted an image of an embryo, captioning it, "Do you consider this a human being?" An unknown Facebook user who has since deleted their comment replied, "Yes, it is," to which NateTalksToYou responded, "It's a pig embryo." Overall the post received over 95 reactions in eight months.
Eight months later, on May 5th, 2022, Facebook[2] user NateTalksToYou posted a screenshot of the interaction, captioning it "#Roe," and earning roughly 2,700 reactions over the course of five days (shown below).
