Pizza / You Can't Post For 30 Days refers to image macros in which two characters read a pizza box in which the font used to write "pizza" could reasonably be misread as "nigga," invoking a 30-day ban for violating Facebook's Community Standards.

Origin

On February 14th, 2019, Reddit^[1] user brb-gonna-breastfeed uploaded to /r/AccidentalRacism a photo of a box of a pizza box with the word "pizza" written with a font that could conceivably make the word look like "nigga." The post received more than 24,200 upvotes in three years (shown below).

Spread

The image began growing popular on Facebook in October of 2021 when it was used in edits in which two characters from various franchises try to read the pizza box. For example, on October 12th, 2021, Facebook^[2] user Chester Mendoza uploaded the photo with two characters from The Legend of Heroes game trying to read the box. When one character misreads it as the N-word, a screenshot from Facebook's Community Guidelines says he can't post or comment for 30 days. The post received 214 reactions and 864 shares (shown below, left). The most popular example was posted October 14th, 2021, when Facebook^[3] page Osaka Shizucc uploaded an image of Love Live Nijigasaki character Shizuku Osaka misreading the pizza box as the N-word. The post received 859 reactions and more than 1,600 shares (shown below, right).
