Podium Guy, also known as Black Guy At Podium is an image macro that uses an image of Martin Baker, a Republican politician and political consultant, standing at a podium. Martin Baker is also know for a meme featuring him talking on the phone, called Black Guy On The Phone.
Origin
On September 17th, 2014, Imgur[1] user WannaJacket posted a thread containing two Podium Guy memes (seen below). The thread gathered 11,000 upvotes in eight years.

The image quickly gained moment, with several variations on the image macro going viral on Tumblr and Twitter. On November 24th, 2015, Twitter user @DammmmCam posted a tweet using the meme, gathering over 400 likes in less than a day (seen below). The post has since been deleted.
On April 1st, 2016, Tumblr[3] user Henry Bottle Bryant posted a version of the meme, receiving 20,000 likes and 21,000 reposts (Seen below).
