Primer Aviso or First Warning in English, refers to a Spanish expression used during a 2012 prank call in a Spain Tv show with presenter Sandro Rey, to which the person says "Sandro Paga La Coca, Primer Aviso" (English: "Sandro Pay For The Coke, First Warning"). The term became a popular internet slang on social media, being used in ironic memes with the phrase Ando Hot, Primer Aviso (English: I'm Horny, First Warning").

Origin

On December 6th, 2012, YouTube^[1] user @ivan220594 uploaded a record of the show Astro TV from Spain in which the psychic Sandro Rey advises people who call the program. One person decided to prank Rey by saying "Sandro Paga La Coca, Primer Aviso* (English: "Sandro Pay For The Coke, First Warning") when he answered the call, leading to a surprised reaction by the presenters. The video garnered 112,000 views and 214 likes in 11 years. (seen below)

The Spanish expression "primer aviso" (English: "First Warning") used in the prank was incorporated with ironic meme posts over the years. For example, on September 14th, 2014, a Matrix Morpheus image macro^[2] was used with the overlay text "give me my gift, first warning." The meme was posted (seen below, left) on the Meme Generator website as well as an image macro posted^[3] on December 16th, 2016 using the psychic's Sandro Rey face with the overlay text in Spanish "Pay The Airbnb, ´First Warning."

Other meme formats were also combined with the expression. For example, TikTok^[4] user @rafaayala_ posted a video reading an El Chavo meme that used the "primer aviso" expression. The post (seen below, left), uploaded on April 19th, 2022, garnered 1.6 million plays and 228,000 likes in two years. Another TikToker^[5], @manuelgomez12310, used the original video of the "primer aviso" to create a parody meme (seen below, right), receiving 226,000 plays and 9,100 likes in two years.

Ando Hot, Primer Aviso

On March 20th, 2020, an image macro of a woman wearing sunglasses and the overlay text in Spanish "Ando Hot, Primer Aviso" (English: I'm Horny, First Warning") became a popular meme on social media. The origin is unknown, but one of the earliest posts available was posted on the meme^[6] website Dopl3r (seen below).
