Quarantine Cutie refers to a viral video in which a New York man asked out a woman who lived across the street from him while they were both practicing social distancing amidst the Coronavirus outbreak.
Origin
On March 22nd, 2020, TikTok user Jeremy Cohen posted a video titled "How to Date A Quarantine Cutie."[1] In the video, he sees a woman dancing on the roof across the street from him. After waving, he sends over a drone with his phone number attached and the two begin talking. The TikTok has been viewed over 5.4 million times.

Over the following week, he posted two more updates, eventually going on a "dinner date" with the woman across the street and going on a walk with her while he was in a plastic bubble. His tweet compiling the whole story,[2] published March 29th, 2020, gained over 75,000 retweets and 192,000 likes (shown below).

Spread
The first two of Cohen's videos sparked media attention. They were covered by TIME[3] and Mashable.[4] The videos also gained over 108,000 points in /r/nextfuckinglevel.[5] The videos also sparked myriad reactions on Twitter, with some finding them ingenious while others found them irritating. User @_chismosa_[6] tweeted, "This guy sent a girl a drone to slide into her DMs during the pandemic and you still haven’t gotten a text back. Think about it," gaining over 920 retweets and 3,100 likes (shown below, left). User @i_izzzzz[7] joked, "This was grown in a lab to be the thing I hate most in the world," gaining over 1,000 likes (shown below, right).
