Reality TV Arguments: ASMR Edition is a video remix series that replaces the audio of scenes from reality television, typically featuring a loud argument, and replacing the audio with whispered dialogue, mimicking the volume, timbre and style of autonomous sensory meridian response.
Origin
The earliest known version of the format was posted by Redditor [1] number1chiquitadave on May 25th, 2019. That day, in a thread titled "A first stab at a silly project I'm working on," the Redditor posted a remix of a scene from the reality television series RuPaul's Dragrace. Within one month, the video received more than 795 points (97% upvoted) and 45 comments (shown below).

Spread
Two days later, on May 27th, number1chiquitadave[2] posted another Drag Race argument with the same effect. The post received more than 3,600 points (98% upvoted) and 160 comments in less than one month (shown below). The following day, Twitter [3] user @HausOfChadi shared the video, receiving more than 1.7 million views, 83,000 likes and 33,000 retweets in less than one month.

The following week, on June 4th, Twitter user @altdoly tweeted a scene from the series Dance Moms with ASMR-style audio. Within one month, the post received more than 3 million views, 247,000 likes and 84,000 retweets (shown below).
