Roblox Sad Story refers to a genre of Roblox experiences and animations telling sad stories through Roblox characters. It also refers to a trend on TikTok that was popularized in May 2023 in which users share captioned clips from various Roblox animations, mainly by YouTuber Broblox. The trend often uses variations of the "We're In Heaven" original sound.

One of the earliest known Roblox sad story experiences was created by Roblox [1] user drumman22, titled, "Super Sad Story" and released on September 24th, 2014. The experience gained over 513,000 visits in nine years. On July 21st, 2015, YouTuber[2] giggy4321_ posted a Roblox sad story video using Roblox characters to recreate the viral 2014 YouTube[3] video "LIFE ISN'T PERFECT," garnering over 20 million views in eight years and surpassing the views of the original (shown below).

Roblox sad story videos and experiences became increasingly popularized throughout the 2010s, including ironic versions of Roblox sad stories. On September 20th, 2015, YouTuber[4][5] Adrinez M Cresa posted two parts of a Roblox sad story about a soldier lost in combat that gained over 29,000 and 293,000 views, respectively, in eight years (shown below, left and right).

YouTuber Broblox became well known for his often sad Roblox stories throughout the late 2010s, including many about bullies. On December 15th, 2020, YouTuber[8] Broblox posted a Roblox sad story song and music video about a boy grieving his dead dog that garnered over 1.9 million views in three years (shown below).
