About

Ruber is the main antagonist of the Warner Brothers movie Quest for Camelot. He is characterized by a chaotic demeanor intentionally expressed through the animation of his eyes, eyebrows and mouth, which has lend itself to continuous use of still frames of the movie in various image macros and reaction images.

Origin

Quest for Camelot also known as The Magic Sword: Quest for Camelot is an adaptation of the book The King's Damosel by Vera Chapman. It is notorious for a troubled production, which resulted in a watered down, more "Disney-like" final product as opposed to the darker vision of the writers and animators.[1] Upon release in 1998 the movie was a box office bomb and received mixed reviews from critics. Some of these reviews note Ruber as either being a strong point for the movie, praising his bombastic performance by Gary Oldman, or as a generic villain.
