Running Through the Omniverse is a Fortnite trend on TikTok where a player wears a skin from a popular media franchise and runs through sets of doors, cutting to an area themed like another media franchise each time they break through to the other side as if they're running through each universe. The trend began in early September 2022, spreading over the following weeks.
Origin
On September 8th, 2022, TikToker[1] @darthwargod posted a video where they run from screen to screen in Fortnite as a Naruto character, their character and the setting changing to another media franchise on each screen, garnering over 179,000 views in 11 days (shown below, left). On September 14th, the same TikToker[2] posted a similar video where they break through a series of doors as the same thing happens, garnering over 3.9 million views in five days (shown below, right).

TikTokers continued the trend over the following days. For example, on September 16th, 2022, TikToker[3] @yocobble posted a version of the trend, garnering over 3.3 million views in three days (shown below).
