RX – Bumble is a viral music video released by Nightshifters for the song "Bumble" by Rx in March 2010. The video features 3D animation that inspired a series of reaction GIFs, including Shame Cube, Descending Bear, 1992 Bad American and more.
Origin
On March 23rd, 2010, the record label Nightshifters released the music video for "Bumble" on Vimeo. The music video features a series of 3D animations akin to Poorly Made 3D Animations. Within 10 years, the video received more than 155,000 views and 685 likes (shown below).
Spread
Shame Cube
Within years of the release of the video, a segment from the music video entitled "Shame Cube" in which a 3D cube captures a man cradling his legs. For example, on February 8th, 2013, an anonymous 4chan [1] user used the GIF when describing their sexual preferences. Later that year, the GIPHY featured the GIF (shown below, left).[2]
The following year, YouTuber Golden Machine Gun shared a re-design of the GIF on May 31st, 2014. The post received more than 29,000 views (shown below, right).
