Ryback Eating Chips refers to a viral video of former WWE wrestler Ryback recording a video of himself eating Ruffles potato chips in ASMR. The video was parodied by other YouTubers by putting him in different animated movie scenes or putting him in Zoom meetings.

Origin

On March 20th, 2020, Ryback uploaded a 10-minute video to his YouTube channel of himself eating Ruffles potato chips as ASMR.^[1] The video hit 1 million views in one year (shown below).

Spread

In late May 2020 and 2021, YouTubers began putting him in different animated scenes and putting him in Zoom mettings. On May 2nd, 2020, YouTuber lukeafk posted a video of him pranking online classes in Zoom, including Staring Hamster. At the 1:59 mark, he pranks a Vegon Meetup Zoom class by playing Ryback eating chips. The video hit 3 million views in one year (shown below). ^[2]

On August 30th, 2020, YouTuber Youis posted a remix of the video as an ear raped version. The video hit 32,816 views in 11 months (shown below, left). On October 14th, 2020, YouTuber memes by cowbelly posted a video of Ryback in Drake and Josh. The video hit 326,577 views in 9 months (shown below). ^[3]
