Vince McMahon is a former professional wrestling announcer and commentator who is the CEO of the wrestling promotion company World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). Online, he has gained a significant following online due to his odd performances during wrestling matches and events.

History

In 1969, McMahon debuted as an in-ring announcer for the World Wide Wresting Federation's (WWF) All Star Wrestling event. In 1971, he became the play-by-play match announcer for All Star Wrestling. In 1980, McMahon became chairman of the WWF. In 1982, Vince McMahon took control of the WWF by leading Titan Sports' acquisition of the company. In 1999, the WWF was renamed to World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Online Presence

Online, Vince McMahon has been noted for his unusual behavior, tone of speech and facial expressions. On July 30th, 2010, the Mr. McMahon Facebook[3] page was created, garnering more than 1.3 million likes within five years. In February 2013, the @VinceMcMahon[2] Twitter feed was launched, which gained over 1,18 million followers within three years. In November, the r/VinceMcMahonGIFs[1] subreddit was created for animated GIFs of McMahon. Clips of McMahon's WWE appearance are often posted on YouTube (shown below).
