About

Slave Knight Gael is a character and boss from the FromSoftware 2016 videogame Dark Souls III. First introduced as a friendly NPC in the DLC "Ashes of Ariandel" and later fought against in the subsequent DLC "The Ringed City", Gael serves as the final boss to the overreaching Dark Souls franchise. The boss fight became famous for mimicking the combat style of Guts from Berserk (a major inspiration for the Dark Souls franchise) and the character's iconic line: "Hand it over. That thing, your Dark Soul."
