So As A Joke, also known as Let's Pretend I'm Still X, and Game of Pretend refers to a copypasta inspired by a comic in which two male friends, one dressed as Konata Izumi from Lucky Star, have sexual intercourse. The copypasta later grew popular among VTuber communities in the early 2020s.
Origin
At an unknown date prior to December 16th 2008, a comic was uploaded, presumably to 4chan, wherein a man dresses up as Konata Izumi from Lucky Star and has a sexual interaction with his male friend (shown below).
On February 1st 2012, an anonymous user posted a story to 4chan's /b/, /a/, /v/, and /r9k/ boards, in which he describes the comic from the friend's perspective (shown below).

The earliest documented variant of the copypasta appeared on July 8th, 2012 on Ultimate Guitar. An anonymous user uploaded a post claiming to have dressed as Asuka Langley Soryu from Neon Genesis Evangelion, which led to a sexual encounter with his male best friend (shown below).

On June 28th, 2020, Reddit[2] user Ervitrum uploaded the copypasta to /r/copypasta and changed the character to Usada Pekora from Hololive. The post received 829 upvotes in three years. A year later, the same copypasta was reposted to the same subreddit[3] and received more than 8,600 upvotes in two years (shown below).

On January 2nd, 2023, Twitter[5] user @chrone_co uploaded 'fan art' of Hololive VTuber Airani Iofifteen with Moona Hoshinova dressed as Pekora. The tweet received more than 1,200 retweets and 11,800 likes in seven months (shown below, right).
On April 15th, 2022, Reddit[6] user MEIKA_HIME uploaded a text-to-speech version of the copypasta to /r/okbuddyhololive subreddit. The post received more than 1,800 upvotes in one year (shown below).
