Origin

While the origin of the image is unknown, the earliest known posting of the image was uploaded to the /r/trainwreckstv subreddit^[1] on September 23rd, 2018 by Redditor CoolestTrihardInJg (shown below).

Spread

The following month, on October 8th, Twitter ^[2] user @edisaso1 tweeted the image with the caption "ANY BANNED STREAMERS" (shown below, left).

On December 22nd, @trainwreckstv tweeted^[3] the image with the caption "HEY ASSHOLE, I love you." The tweet received more than 600 likes in about six months (shown below, center).

The following year, on May 2nd, @trainwreckstv tweeted^[4] the image with the caption "Universal ‘double standards’ emote." The tweet received more than 2,000 likes and 75 retweets (shown below, right).

On May 9th, Urban Dictionary ^[5] user Dale.Deadbug defined the emote as "The international Twitch.TV emoticon for double standards in both men and women. Also the international face of the Incel lord." The post received more than 45 upvotes (shown below).

On May 22nd, FrankerFaceZ^[6] user BirdyShirty submitted the squadW emote (shown below).
