Steam Cleaned Teddy Bear refers to a viral video of a Chinese steam-cleaning company cleaning a teddy bear, turning its fur from brown to nearly white. The video inspired race-related jokes on Twitter.
Origin
The video was posted to Douyin by Shandong Qingbao Cleaning Co., Ltd on February 10th, 2020.[1] It was reposted to Twitter on February 13th by Twitter user @VickiHo[2] posted the clip to Twitter, gaining over 30,000 retweets and 130,000 likes (shown below).

The video inspired others to joke about the bear's transformation, comparing it to people who have appeared to change their skin color during their lifetime.
