About

Fart Jar NFTs refer to an NFT project centered around jars of various sizes and colors that supposedly have farts inside of them, which are then sold online. The NFT project is a creation of influencer and reality TV star Stephanie Matto from 90 Day Fiance, originally starting in late 2021.

History

On December 17th, 2021, a Twitter[1] account for the NFT project was made, with the first post simply reading "Hello World." Later that day, the first FartJar NFT was revealed with an illustration of a jar with a butt for a cork and Deal With It sunglasses on (shown below).[2]

The FartJar project continued to gain steam until minting began on January 3rd, 2022. Minting was available on the website[3] devoted to the NFT, with over 5,000 available for minting at the price of .05ETH per.

Online Presence

Since its inception in mid-December 2021, the NFT project has continued growing its online presence, aided by the creator, Stephanie Matto, already having recognition from 90 Day Fiance, as well as her online business selling her own farts in jars. On December 25th, 2021, YouTuber[4] and esports owner Cr1tikal posted a video to his main channel titled "Woman Makes $100,000 Selling Her Farts," gaining 1.6 million views in 10 days while also increasing the notoriety of the NFT collection (shown below).

Matto's online presence spread further in late 2021 after reports came out that she was sent to the hospital due to too much gas build up in her body as a result of radically changing her diet to accommodate for increased Fart Jar orders.[5] Due to the hospitalization, Matto allegedly had to retire from IRL Fart Jars and devoted herself to the online ones. On January 5th, 2022, a post was made on the FartJar Twitter[6] account showing that lucky people who mint a fart jar would be able to receive a special prize if they burn the token, with such prizes being some of her lingerie and even a jar of her queefs (shown below).
