Fractured Blooms is an upcoming first-person psychological life simulator from Serenity Forge. The game was announced in early June 2025, being described as Doki Doki Literature Club Meets Silent Hill by media outlets and gaming journalists, which sparked a wave of memes and jokes on Twitter / X regarding the way the project was advertised.
History
On June 6th, 2025, the Japanese video game studio Serenity Forge[1] announced Fractured Blooms, an upcoming psychological life simulator claimed to be inspired by a true story. The trailer (seen below) received more than 9,000 views and 334 likes in a day.
Online Reactions
Fractured Booms' announcement during the Summer Game Fest 2025 became the subject of memes and mockery after the presenter Geoff Keighley described the game as "Doki Doki Literature Club meets Silent Hill," which enraged some gamers on Twitter. For instance, on June 6th, 2025, X[2] user @__ndz posted an image macro of Spongebob SquarePants captioned with Geoff's description of the upcoming game and the overlay text "kill everyone." The post (seen below) amassed more than 1 million views and 58,000 likes in a day.
