About
Tel Aviv Impressed is a reaction image of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with a blank expression on his face, captioned, "*Tel Aviv Impressed*," Tel Aviv being the most populous city in Israel. The meme is based on a similar reaction image known as "Ohio Impressed," one in a series of reaction images beginning with "Ohio," which features deceased rapper King Von. The memes share a similar format to the Squid Game edit reaction images, which take screenshots from captioned video edits. The meme is often used as a reaction to content that people perceive as "Spiritually Israeli" or as being supportive of Israel, specifically regarding the Hamas-Israel Conflict in the mid-2020s.
Origin
On December 11th, 2025, TikToker[1] @music_4dayz posted a video edit that includes a slow-zoom-in video of King Von with the caption "*Ohio Impressed*" along the bottom, garnering over 29,800 views in three months. The scene was screenshotted and posted in the comments as a "new reaction image" several times.
On December 15th, the screenshot was uploaded by Giphy[2] user witherw, gaining over 149,000 views in three months.
The meme is based on several other absurd reaction images that begin with "Ohio" followed by a descriptive word, many of which feature streamer IShowSpeed.

On January 24th, 2026, a version of the meme that replaces King Von with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and replaces the caption to read "Tel Aviv Impressed" was posted to Imgflip.[3] It is unclear if this is the true origin of the edit. A higher quality version of the image was uploaded to Tenor[4] on February 4th.
Spread
The Tel Aviv Impressed reaction image spread, particularly on TikTok, throughout early 2026 as a way of both genuinely and ironically calling out posts perceived as showing support for Israel. It also began appearing in video edits.
On February 11th, 2026, TikToker[5] @renditen.ralf posted a video that features the meme several times, garnering over 69,000 views in a month.
