The Mango Slideshow refers to a photo slideshow on TikTok about a girl's orange cat named Mango who passed away. The sad slideshow was posted in March 2024 by TikToker ౨ৎ bel ౨ৎ (@bellacorette) originally called "my mango girl." The slideshow ended with ౨ৎ bel ౨ৎ showing a Beanie Baby named Mango to symbolize Mango still being with her after death. After the Mango Slideshow went viral, many TikTokers reacted to it and posted content referencing it, mostly reiterating its emotional effect on them.

Origin

On March 17th, 2024, TikToker[1] @bellacorette posted a slideshow that told the story of her cat Mango's passing. The slideshow was set to the song "someday I'll get it" by Alek Olsen. Over eight days, the slideshow received roughly 9.8 million plays and 1.7 million likes (recording shown below).

Going into March 2024, many reacted to @bellacorette's slideshow, such as TikToker[2] @delaynalifts on March 21st, 2024, who posted a video of her crying with her cat, captioned, "POV: you saw the mango slideshow," gaining over 115,000 plays and 1,000 likes in four days (shown below, left).

On March 22nd, TikToker[3] @beautifulpeoples69 made a video about the Mango Slideshow and the overarching slideshow trend, gaining over 4.2 million plays and 249,700 likes in three days (shown below, right).
