The "O Method"

The "O Method" refers to a TikTok manifestation technique that entails imagining one's desire at the moment of climax. Due to the alleged "high vibrations" that occur during the moment, the manifestation technique is especially potent according to SpiritualTok and WitchTok influencers. The O Method gained increased attention in late 2022 as more female creators tried it and uploaded videos about it. According to them, it works, especially when manifesting a desire that's about romantic interest and love.

Origin

On April 30th, 2021, TikToker^[1] aries_the_god posted a video that asked her viewers, "Your manifestation not working?" and suggested that they try the "O Method." She outlined the meaning of the "O Method" and how to do it:

You have [an] orgasm and manifest at the same time. You can either say aloud or in your head. [It's] a powerful one cause [you're] releasing feminine energy.

Over the course of a year and a half, the video received roughly 181,800 plays and 38,100 likes (shown below). The video is currently the first known on the platform.

Spread

Continuing into mid-2021, the "O Method" gained more traction in "ManifestationTok" circles on the platform alongside other concepts like Reality Shifting and the Whisper Method. For instance, on August 13th, 2021, TikToker^[2] weliveinagiantsnowglobe explained the "O Method" in a video that received roughly 166,700 plays and 6,500 likes in 14 months (shown below, left). On October 14th, 2021, TikToker^[3] brownbabemanifesting also explained the "O Method" in a TikTok that received roughly 399,500 plays and 22,100 likes in one year (shown below, right).

In late 2022, the "O Method" became a more prevalent manifestation technique discussed on TikTok, usurping the "Whisper Method." For instance, on August 28th, 2022, TikToker^[4] hothighpriestess posted an "O Method" video, gaining roughly 2.3 million plays and 380,000 likes in two months (shown below, left). TikToker^[5] hothighpriestess uploaded another "O Method" video on August 29th, 2022, claiming that it was more "powerful" than the "Whisper Method." The video received roughly 1.6 million plays and 335,200 likes in two months (shown below, right).

How to Do the "O Method" on TikTok

TikToker hothighpriestess explained how to do the "O Method" best in a TikTok^[6] she uploaded on September 1st, 2022, which gained roughly 1.1 million plays and 142,700 likes over the course of a month and a half (shown below). In the video, she stated:

We are going to be using our "organisms" to manifest. When you're "having fun" alone, or with someone else, at the very peak you will be "vibrating" at a very high level. This vibrational frequency is very hard to tap into, but you access it when you do "this thing." This energy is so fucking powerful. It creates life… So when you tap into this, you're literally opening up a portal in the fucking universe to create your manifestation.

So when you "organism," you are going to visualize exactly what it is you want as if you already have it, because after you do this, it is your's. You have opened the fucking portal. You have seen the future. You are vibrating at that frequency.

The Whisper Method, also known as the Whisper Technique or Whisper Manifestation, is a manifestation and meditation technique similar to the "O Method" and "Law of Attraction" where people pretend to whisper into the ear of their specific person (SP) in order to manifest something from them (a text message, job offer, proposal, etc.) into reality. The technique originates from the self-help writer Neville Goddard, however, it became an online topic in the 2020s within videos on YouTube and TikTok. This started in 2016 but trended en masse in 2022.
