The Rizzler Covering His Eye refers to an image of child influencer The Rizzler (real name Christian Joseph) covering his right eye as he shows how to make his signature "Rizz Face" during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in late October 2024. The image went viral on social media shortly after as users drew parallels between The Rizzler and various fictional characters.
Origin
On October 29th, 2024, TikTok influencers A.J., Big Justice and the Rizzler appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.[1] During the episode, the Rizzler demonstrated to host Jimmy Fallon how to do his signature "rizz face," which is a version of the Chad Face. The Rizzler started doing the face by using his hand to pull his eyebrow down, temporarily closing his eye (video shown below; 2:21 mark).
On October 30th, 2024, X[2] user @foreknowledged posted an image of the Rizzler covering his eye with his hand with the caption, "Where there are demons I slay them." The post, which referenced the Japanese visual novel Full Metal Daemon: Muramasa and its protagonist Minato Kageaki holding a hand over his eye, gained over 210 reposts and 1,100 likes in two days (shown below).
Spread
In late October 2023, the image of the Rizzler holding his hand over his eye achieved viral spread on X / Twitter as it was used to make pop culture references, mainly to anime and video games.
For example, on October 30th, 2024, X[3] user @chaddybear_ posted a GIF of Guilty Gear Strive character Ky Kiske together with the image. The post (shown below) garnered over 1,300 reposts and 13,000 likes in two days.

On October 31st, X[4] user @yeagerliban posted an image of the Homunculus manga protagonist Susumu Nakoshi covering his eye, commenting "the parallels man." The post (shown below) received over 3,000 reposts and 46,000 likes in one day.
The image was used in more reference memes in late October and early November 2024.
