Clips of the show became a viral topic on social media, especially the moment Kim Kardashian was booed on stage and the jokes about Brady's divorce from Gisele Bündchen.

On May 5th, 2024, Netflix aired the celebrity roast special The Roast of Tom Brady as part of the "Netflix is a Joke" comedy festival in Los Angeles, California. The roast included jokes surrounding Brady's divorce from Gisele Bündchen, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Brady losing to Eli Manning in the Super Bowl multiple times and many other topics. On April 22nd, 2024, Netflix posted a trailer of the roast (shown below) to YouTube^[1], which amassed more than 242,000 views and 2,200 likes in two weeks.

As the special aired on May 5th, netizens started to post memes and jokes about Brady. For instance, X^[2] user @Rob_Shenanigans posted a clip featuring Tony Hinchcliffe jokes from the Tom Brady Roast on Netflix. The post (seen below) amassed roughly 14 million views and 57,000 likes in a day.

Kim Kardashian was met with a negative reaction from the crowd at the Tom Brady roast, as boos could be heard during her the moment went on stage to share her jokes. For example, on May 6th, 2024, TikTok^[3] user @jennnerz posted a video of the moment the Kardashian was booed (seen below, left), which garnered over 194,000 plays and 10,600 likes in a day. On the same day, Netflix^[4] shared a clip on TikTok of Nikki Glaser joking about Brady's divorce from Gisele Bündchen. The post (seen below, right) received over 11 million plays and 798,000 likes in a day.
