The art trend started on September 4th, 2023, when Twitter user hatsune_negame posted a tweet (shown below) in which Hatsune Miku enters a building with their twitter icon, and exits portraying hatsune_negame's art style^[1], similarly to the Shrimp after Chiropractor meme popularized in the same month.

Spread

After the initial Tweet, hatsune_negame shared a second Tweet with a template of the meme, prompting other users to put their icons on the image and make their own versions (Shown at the end of the article)^[2]. Other artist then borrowed the template and shared the creations, like kotoko02^[3] whose post obtained 312 Reposts and 2,883 Likes in a day (Shown below, left), and hourai_24^[4] who scored 565 Reposts and 5,879 Likes in 12 hours (Shown below, right).
