This is Where the Fun Begins is an image macro series featuring a screen capture of the character Anakin Skywalker from a scene in the 2005 film Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith.

Origin

In Revenge of the Sith, the character Anakin Skywalker is shown uttering the line "This is where the fun begins" while flying a spacecraft in pursuit of an assassin (shown below).

On October 8th, 2016, the Relatable Star Wars memes Facebook^[4] page posted a screenshot from the scene, captioned with "When you locate the beginning of the fun" (shown below). Within four months, the post gained over 790 shares, 640 reactions and 320 comments.

Spread

On December 7th, 2016, the Youngling-core Facebook^[6] page posted the screen capture above a scene from the film in which Skywalker murders a group of young Jedis known as "younglings" (shown below).

On December 24th, Redditor cibolm reposted the "When you locate the beginning of the fun" image to /r/meirl,^[5] where it gathered more than 6,100 points (94% upvoted) and 60 comments over the next two months. On February 7th, Redditor Trumps_guacadviser submitted an image macro with the caption "When you walk in your room and your uncle is naked on your bed" to /r/dankmemes^[2] (shown below). That day, Redditor liliceberg submitted a post speculating that "This is where the fun begins memes about to explode" to /r/memeeconomy.^[1]

On February 17th, Redditor awesumepizza submitted another screen captured image of Skywalker titled "Is this where the fun begins?", captioned with a joke about sex with a pregnant woman (shown below). Within one week, the post garnered upwards of 1,800 points (98% upvoted) and 40 comments on /r/dankmemes.^[3]
