Total N****r Death, abbreviated TND, is a slang term and slogan popular with racist users calling for total racial cleansing against Black people, primarily on 4chan, Soyjak.party and other imageboards. The slogan is closely associated with the Kill, Behead, Roundhouse copypasta, which gained popularity in AI Voice memes in February 2023.

On January 30th, 2017, in a /pol/^[1] thread discussing a Daily Caller article about a Black Lives Matter protester calling for "killing people," an anonymous 4chan user replied^[2] to the opening post, "my endless gaping maw hungers for total n****r death," coining the expression (post shown below, left; a reply shown below, right).

The expression saw gradual spread on 4chan's /pol/, /b/ and other boards, and later on other imageboards such as Soyjak.party, in the following years, being used as a call for racial cleansing against Black people.

Kill, Behead, Roundhouse

On October 21st, 2020, an anonymous 4chan^[3] user made a post calling for the extermination of Black people through different means, including beheading, performing a roundhouse kick, crucifixion and defecation into their food, to a /pol/ thread (authorship unconfirmed; shown below).

Spread

Through 2021, multiple 4chan users posted the copypasta in various threads, primarily in /pol/ and /b/. For example, on June 3rd, 2021, a 4chan^[4] user posted the copypasta in /biz/. On November 9th and 27th, an anonymous user posted two extended versions of the copypasta in /b/^[5][6] (shown below, left and right), with the second version, later expanded on by other users, gaining further spread on 4chan and other imageboards.^[12]

In early 2023, both the slogan and the copypasta achieved wider recognition online, spreading to iFunny and Twitter. For example, on January 6th, iFunny^[7] user GothSport posted a Repost If X meme about TND that gained over 270 smiles in one month (shown below, left). On January 24th, iFunny^[8] user AmericaAwake posted a video caption meme that received over 1,800 smiles in three weeks (shown below, right).

On January 8th, 2023, Urban Dictionary^[9] troonstomper9000 added a definition for "TND" to Urban Dictionary.

AI Voice Versions

In February 2023, following the popularization of AI voice models such as ElevenAI, memes in which various characters narrated versions of the copypasta gained popularity on iFunny. For example, on February 5th, iFunny^[10] user HueyPLong posted a meme in which Palpatine narrated a _Star Wars version of the copypasta, with the video gaining over 790 smiles in ten days (shown below, left). On February 11th, iFunny^[11] user cornmeal posted a Dagoth Ur version that garnered over 2,900 smiles on the app in three days (shown below, right).
