About
Uncle Bot, also known as Chinese Robot Running, refers to a viral video from Chinese social media of a robot wearing clothes running down a grassy hill. The robot was dressed like a human, seen wearing an orange shirt and beige cargo shorts. On Douyin, the robot was named Jia Zhang the Robot. The video went viral on Twitter / X in mid-July 2025. Many made jokes about the robot's clothes, its style of running and humorously praised Chinese technology, akin to memes like Incredible Things Are Happening In China. Some said that the robot was dressed like actor Adam Sandler or imagined Will Stancil running away from the robot, among other jokes.
