About
Welcome to the Center of the universe is a four-panel photoshop exploitable based on webcomic of an astronaut asking questions of the universe. Online, people photoshop the answer to the question with something absurd, satirical or referential.
Origin
On October 20th, 2016, webcomics author Linha Do Trem published a four-panel comic of an astronaut asking the universe the secrets of the universe (shown below).[1] The comic's punchline, translated from Portuguese reads, "Yeah, 14 centimeters is average."
Spread
Less than two weeks later, Facebook [2] account saopaulodepre edited the punch line to read "Sim, o correto é bolacha!" The post (shown below, left) received more than 4,200 reactions, 280 comments and 3,700 shares in a year and a half.
On March 24th, 2018, FunnyJunk [3] user grogovic posted an English-language version of the comic with the punchline "Yeah, traps are gay." The post (shown below, center) received more than 1,300 upvotes and 25,000 views.
The following day, Redditor [4] Iook_at_this posted an English-language translation of the original comic in the /r/MemeEconomy subreddit. The post (shown below, right) received more than 2,400 points (98% upvoted) and 50 comments.
