The phrase "White Girl Problems" refers to any task or issue that should only be a problem for an adolescent white girl from a wealthy suburb. This can refer to anything from missing lip gloss to a less-than-designer dress for junior prom or a missing pony. Typically, the phrase is superimposed over a ridiculous picture of an adolescent white girl crying about whatever is wrong. The phrase can also be put at the end of a statement with the hashtag "#WhiteGirlProblems".
Origin
This meme seems to have originated in Twitter, with the Twitter Feed "White Girl Problems"[1]. The feed consists of many humors examples of what a wealthy white teenage girl would consider to be an issue in everyday life.
Spread
Since the successful Twitter Feed, the phrase "White Girl Problems" has spread to both Tumblr[2] in the form of a popular post tag and Facebook[3].
