Word on Anime Girl Pictures refers to an archetype of post-ironic memes in which anime-style artworks of female characters are captioned with text that can be either insulting towards the reader, pander to their fetishes or be ironically wholesome. The memes within the archetype have mainly been created by Facebook group I write words on anime girl pictures and subreddit /r/okbuddybaka but received viral spread through reposts, spawning popular Sorry for X, It's Not My Fault and At First I Was Like "Mmm Feet" as a Joke formats.
